The Cup of Life

Image hosted by Photobucket.com

I went to the Std Shah Alam on Sunday night to watch the Sultan Of Selangor Cup between Selangor Selection vs Singapore Selection. Selangor Selection team consists of players from Selangor Premier League team and with 3 guests players from Selangor MK Land(another team from Premier League side). While the Singapore selection team comprises of best players that they've selected from teams from the S-League..which most of 'em are Singapore national players with some import players who plying their trades in the S-League.

While on my way to the Stadium...like always I used the NKVE expressway and was going thru the Batu 3 toll. As usual, went thru the manual toll booth, paid RM 1.10 and my foot was already pressing the accelerator pedal..suddenly a motorcyclist js went passed the toll booth that my car was in...and the barrier that was opening earlier....shut down and hit my car's front glass panel because that freakin motorcyclist had crossed that barrier..luckily there were only minor(very very minor) scratch...

That even...did not deter my spirit to go and watch the match...and when I arrived...people..coloured with yellow and red..flocking in tens of thousands...into the stadium...even the upper stands are filled with the Red Giant fans...which was a rarity these days(except masa Selangor lawan Kedah aritu)...

Before the actual game started, there was this game of both teams veterans, played each other as a curtain raiser..I could see the likes of Santokh Singh, Rashid Hassan(Selangor goalkeeper coach), Dollah Salleh(coach of the current Selangor team), Zainal Abidin Hassan(currently coaching Super League team, Pahang), K Rajagopal(coach of the under 23/20 Malaysian team), Razali Alias(assistant to Dollah), Khan Hung Meng(currently coaching MK Land Premier League team), K Gunalan, P Maniam...all of them were Selangor veterans..and I also could see Fandi Ahmad(used to play for KL, Pahang and of course Singapore..once the golden boy of Singapore) and his friends playing for the Singapore veterans..the match ended with the Singapore veterans winning 2-1..both goal scored by Fandi.

The actual game only started at around 10.30 pm...which was opened with some fireworks shows which lasted about 10 minutes...kinda grand opening prior to the match...and Selangor Selection won 3-1 with Bambang Pamungkas, Indonesian import scored a brace for Selangor. The match??...excellent...showed some quality football...which I havent seen for some time from Selangor...definitely the most exciting game played by Selangor in many years...

p/s : best gile masa semua kat stadium buat Mexican Wave tak henti-henti..pastu siap bertukar arah lagi...best best.....

May the Force be with you...

Since my childhood, Star Wars movies are one of my favorites. Used to have that copies of the trilogy videos(A New Hope,The Empire Strikes Back and Return Of the Jedi)..used to play the video tapes times and times...but when I was a child, I really dont like the 5th one(nombo dua punye starwars la masa tu) bcoz of the villains winning..(Luke got his hand chopped off by his dad, Darth)...biasa la...mana suke org jahat menang...

I just love on how they make the movies at that time...since there was no CGI ...they only used models to depict spaceships battle in the outer space...and yet the battle scene when the Rebels attacking the Death Star was excellent...even without CGI, the action sequence and special effects was awesome. And of course the use of blue screen at that time..was done without the computer editing. But still it was in its sheer class. If you could remember TRON was using computer graphic, but it only includes wireframe kind of graphic at that time..and it only came 5 years after the first Star Wars movie was made.

Apart from the special effects and action sequences, what actually made the earlier Star Wars movies a success was the the content of the movies, character building, storyline....just look at how Luke Skywalker being a Jedi..from a rebellious youth in the first movie, slowly developed into a mature, super cool Jedi and lastly defeats the Empire in ROTJ. Plus, the romance between Han Solo and Princess Leia, which initially started as a love triangle between them and Luke, but its just didnt go that way since they found out that Princess Leia was Luke's long lost sister(seperated since childhood)...and antics between C3PO and R2D2 brought comic relief to the movies...all this became the ingredient of success for the trilogy.

In 1999, with such high expectation, I watched the first prequel of the Star Wars..The Phantom Menace. The CGI was flawless...but..the storyline was kinda weak...and even the acting was kinda stiff(that boy who playes as young Anakin..cute..lack of acting skill but)..the only thing that I like about that movie..was..was Darth Maul..js love his weapon.. sith light saber ...the ultra cool villain(protege of Darth Sidious) that got that wushu kind of moves and killed Qui-Gon Jin (played perfectly by Liam Neeson)..mentor of Obi-Wan(Ewan)...Darth Maul apparently..killed later on by Obi Wan.

darth maul's sith light saber....best kan?? hehehe

3 years later...with the same expectation..same as when I watched TPM, I went to the cinema to watch the second prequel of the Star Wars...The Attack of the Clones...again...it didnt live to my expectation...much better than Phantom tho. George Lucas tried to inject some romantic element in the movie between Amidala(Natalie Portman..manya cun wooo) and Anakin..but it failed miserably. The battle scene was excelent..but still it lacks the punch in terms of storyline. I really like the scene in which they showed why Boba Fett(son of Jango Fett) become a bounter hunter...and the most delightful scene was when Yoda fought with Count Dookoo(this was the first time that they showed how Yoda actually fights in a movie)..gile lajuuu...

This coming 19th of May..the last installment of the Star Wars will invade our cinemas...nak gi tengok lahh...the trailer seems promising(like always). Harap2 dapat la tengok dan tidak mengecewakan...May the Force be with me :)

p/s: masa tgk Star Wars yg pertama masa kecik2 dulu aku ada perasan opening credit die..die tulis Star Wars IV A New Hope...masa tu terpikir...mana chapter 1,2,3?...rupenye George Lucas pikir teknologi masa tu tak dapat nak buat citer 1,2 dan 3...dan skarang baru die buat...

Soul Food

A SONG FOR MAMA (by Boyz II Men)

You taught me everything and everything you've given me
I always keep it inside
You're the driving force in my life, ey, yeah
There isn't anything or anyone that I can be
And it just wouldn't feel right
If I didn't have you by my side, oh
You were there for me to love and care for me
When skies were grey whenever I was down,
you were always there to comfort me
And no one else can be what you have been to me
You will always be
You will always be the girl in my life for all times

Mama, mama you know I love you (I love you, ooh, you know I love you)
Mama, mama your the queen of my heart your love is like tears from the stars
Mama I just want you to know
Lovin' you is like food to my soul
You're always down for me have always been around for me even when I was bad
You showed me right from my wrong, yes, you did
And you took up for me when everyone was downin' me
You always did understand, you gave me strength to go on
There was so many times looking back when I was so afraid
And then you come to me and say to me I could face anything
And no one else can do what you've done for me
You'll always be
You will always be the girl in my life, woo, oh

Mama, mama you know I love you (You know I love you, you know I love you)
Mama, mama your the queen of my heart (You are)
Your love is like tears from the stars (Your love is like tears from the stars)
Mama I just want you to know (Ooh, mama I just want you to know)
Lovin' you is like food to my soul, oh

Never gonna go a day without you, ooh...
Fills me up just thinkin' 'bout you I'll never go a day without my mama
Mama (You know), mama (Mama) you know I love you Mama
mama your the queen of my heart (The queen of my heart)
Your love is like (Say your love) tears from the stars (Your love is like tears from the stars)
Mama (Mama) I just want you to know (Whoa, ma-mama, mama)
Lovin' you is like food to my soul (Lovin' you is like food to my soul)

You are the food to my soul
Yes, you are

Bozo the Clown

Image hosted by Photobucket.com

What the hell is happening here!! They've advertised a vacancy for the Secretary General post in the newspaper....2 months later the president announced that they've shortlisted 5 candidate to take that job...and the result??...none of 'em made it...instead..the vice president of that organisation actually landed the job (and he was initally the chairman of the interviewing board)...Well..I was talkin about our country's football governing body..the FAM...

They've hired PriceWaterhouse Cooper for auditing and to reorganise the FAM, but the way that they've selected their Secretary General...is way beyond my imagination(or perhaps other people as well lah...other people than those clowns in the FAM). They've said about making changes in the FAM, wanting to have a new look, new vision, but still having that old blokes in the organisation won't making it happen...it'll be the same old story, again and again....

With the national team that can't even conquer the South East Asia region...plus the David Blaine style of magic in selecting their Sec. General...our football is going nowhere...

p/s : dulu presiden die dipanggil presiden seumur hidup...pastu timbalan presiden tu anak die...camne ek presiden seumur hidup tu..tadek demokrasi langsung...giloosss!!!
